Is vitamin supplementation necessary?

Home / Blog / Is vitamin supplementation necessary?

Most Americans lead fast paced lives, leaving very little time for balanced nutrition or adequate rest, which leaves your body vulnerable to diseases.

You encounter an abundance of toxins daily from the environment, the foods you eat (processed food), stress,  prescription drugs and more. These toxins will eventually cause a vitamin/mineral deficit, therefore the only way to refuel your body is by supplementation.  By incorporating a vitamin regimen into your daily routine you could add years to you life.

Your daily vitamin intake should consist of:

  • Multivitamin/Minerals
  • Antioxidant( COQ10)
  • Omega 3
  • Fiber
  • Probiotics
  • Enzymes

These supplements are essential because the body can’t thrive without them. Antioxidants can prevent free radicals from harming good cells, while Omega 3 helps to balance the bad fat that accumulates in your body and aids in a good circulatory system.  Mineral supplementation is necessary because the soil is depleted of minerals ( due to pesticides etc)  and you can’t get the RDA (recommended daily allowance) from the foods you eat.  Fiber  is important because it aids in the transit time (digestion-elimination) preventing toxins from developing in your body, and probiotics assist with keeping a balance of good bacteria ( gut flora) in the intestines, which can improve overall health.

If you take these supplements daily , eat a balanced diet, and exercise regularly you will set yourself up for longevity. Supplements act as armor, protecting you from the toxins. Being unarmed increases your chances of a heart attack, stroke, diabetes, auto- immune disease and more.
